Please Keep These Questions in Mind...

Where can we draw the line between gene therapy as enhancing the human race versus ending suffering?

Do you think gene therapy should be supported by the Church? If so, to what extent?

Respond Below. Thanks!!

  1. This blog is very interesting. I think that the Church should support gene therapy if it can guarantee a benefit to a human life. For example,a cure to cancer, or a protection from a deadly virus. If science interferes to much with life, it can mess up God's plan for humans.

  2. I didn't realize that the Church has such a complicated stance on such a scientific issue. Clearly, extensive research has been done/observed and the Church has done its homework before deciding its stance.

  3. I think that gene therapy is useful and can help peoples lives. However it is going too far when you effect whole generations of people with it.

  4. I believe that we should use gene therapy to help save lives but not alter our race. If we alter ourselves it could cause other problems with our bodies that can become disastrous to the humans.
Gene theraphy should be supported by the church as long as it is saving or helping a human life.
